Routers
MikroTik
Use an HTTPS fetch command and a five-minute scheduler.
Create a URL and save the token
- Create an update URL in the Dashboard and copy the token.
- Replace <token> in the fetch and scheduler commands below.
Update with fetch
Run this command on the MikroTik device.
/tool fetch url="https://niti.vn/u/<token>" mode=https output=none
Run every five minutes
Add an entry under /system scheduler with a five-minute interval and the fetch command above as its event.
/system scheduler add name="niti-ddns" interval=5m on-event="/tool fetch url=\"https://niti.vn/u/<token>\" mode=https output=none"
Find <token> under Dashboard › hostname › update URL. The URL is shown only once, so copy and save it before leaving the page.
The router updates its own IPv4 address.
To update a separate IPv6 address for one device, install the client on that device itself.
